In an effort to provide students a state-of-the-art educational experience, Adelanto Elementary School District hired Frick, Frick & Jetté to design a complete renovation and modernization this 32,076-sq.-ft. Performing Arts Magnet School. Accessibility improvements were completed to the restrooms and public areas, including the removal and replacement of existing hazardous flooring and new accessible doors, hardware and casework.
As a part of the modernization, new interior finishes provide a welcoming and inviting learning environment. Outdated plumbing fixtures were replaced with new efficient models, providing an immediate return on the District’s investment. The upgrades made to the fire alarm system bring the school into the 21st century of monitoring and early detection.
In addition to the many interior upgrades, exterior path-of-travel compliance modifications were completed along with site upgrades for landscaping, irrigation and hardscape. New play equipment now provides a safe and long lasting environment for students. The buildings’ exteriors received a new paint scheme blending well with the high desert environment.
